A slab door is a flat panel. On first blush its clean, sleek and immediately the brain interprets a modern design. In Europe we see ornate architectural details like dental and crown moulding paired with sleek cabinetry. Not something North Americans typically intentionally design.
Appreciating the bigger picture we can offer a look on the exterior of the cabinetry which can be paint or wood, standard sheen or hi gloss. We often overlook or don’t think to look at the options for the interior cabinet and drawer box construction.
Our clients know, appreciate and value Domestic plywood interiors but what about considering a coloured melamine interior? It can save on cost but more importantly coordinates with the overall look and feel of a modern kitchen that ultimately, at the end of the day, is what the client wants!
